Pedestal sinks offer variety of styling, material and give space back where needed. They fit well both in small spaces as well as odd crooks or corners. But space is not the only reason they are chosen.

The lack of surface space can be compensated by adding a porcelain shelf above the sink. These porcelain shelves will blend very well with your pedestal sink, and are inexpensive.
By and large, the good points outweigh the bad, and with the many choices available they are a delightful choice for small or large bathrooms.
